ABOUT
WILLIAM
I am a town native, devoted single father, community mentor, and activist in the Norristown community. I dedicate my life to the advancement of underserved youth through my non-profit mentorship program Boys2Men Empowerment Group.
Through mentorship and my role in the Norristown Area School District as a Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support Coach I aspire to increase youth life outcomes.
Being raised in Norristown to a single mother of 3, I understand the needs of the community firsthand and will fight to increase the quality of life for us all.
Having lived, worked and volunteered here my entire life, I am all too familiar with the major problems that plaque our neighborhood: lack of job opportunities; underperforming public schools; rampant crime and drug abuse not only in the municipality of Norristown, but throughout many overshadowed communities in our great state. We must continue to fight for working families throughout our town, so that we can grow together to create a safer, stronger, and more vibrant Norristown community.
In addition to my work with the NAACP, Power UP and Black Lives Matter, I am a passionate advocate for tenant rights and a determined advocate for mental health interventions. I am also a community organizer whose focus is the unification of the community. Hosting free community workshops with topics based around mental health, parenthood and financial literacy has granted me some of my biggest supporters today.
I am running for District 2 City Council because we have so much work to do here. From keeping our families safe to pushing for economic empowerment and opportunities in Norristown, the 2nd district deserves a champion who fights hard every day for the youth, hardworking parents, small businesses and community leaders in our great municipality.
